01Start with the affected fixtures
A single slow tap can point to a fixture restriction, while several affected outlets may indicate a broader issue. Note whether hot and cold water behave differently and whether the problem changes when multiple fixtures run.
02Check the timing and pattern
Tell the provider whether pressure dropped suddenly, has declined gradually or varies through the day. Mention recent plumbing work, shutoffs and whether neighboring properties noticed the same change.
03Keep several possible causes in view
Valve positions, a pressure regulator, restrictions, a supply interruption or a leak can affect pressure. Symptoms alone do not establish which cause applies, and low pressure does not automatically justify replacement.
04Ask for a measured assessment
A provider can discuss pressure and flow checks appropriate to the property. Ask what findings would lead to fixture work, pressure-control assessment or an investigation of the incoming water line.
